History of Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre
Leonard Barton began his career on St. Joseph’s Island in 1937, prior to his service in the war. After the war, Leonard returned to Sault Ste. Marie and opened the Barton Funeral Home located at 165 Brock Street.
William Kiteley joined the firm in 1964 and the name was changed to the Barton and Kiteley Funeral Home. In 1983 Mr. Bill Kiteley along with Mr. Bob Linklater purchased the Arthur Funeral Home and serviced the community of Sault Ste. Marie from the both locations.
